What's shhhpoppinn'
Hope you're all well and have recovered from the heatwave in London - I'm still outtchea struggling so don't worry it's not just you. So, today's post I thought I would share with you what I've been eating a lot of for breakfast since it always seems to change once it gets even one degree hotter. I start whipping out the blender and smoothies are made almost on a daily basis in my household, or a good bowl of fruit salad. Urghh summer food is the best.
One of my go to breakfasts bowls has been granola mixed with dark chocolate, chia and flax seeds, dried berries and some honey with greek yogurt on the side. As filling as breakfasts come! The nutrients you're getting from this bowl alone is most likely more than you'd get in the rest of the day - emphasising why breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day. It's super light but makes you full enough till your lunch. The aesthetics of it too are a bonus, @ me or dm me across my socials if you end up creating your own bowl.
Next, is a staple snack 'Peanut butter and Apple slices/chunks'. MATE. If you're allergic to nuts find an alterrnative dip like a chocolate dip for example, but what I can say is this is so yum especially if the apples are cold. You're getting in one of your 5 a day whilst still eating something that is a change from just a whole fruit alone. Personally, I prefer peanut butter however other nut spreads such as almond butter are suitable'interchanging dips'.
Swap out one of your breakfasts this week for one of these, trust me you'll love it!
